The Gahanna Branch, built in 1991 and renovated in 1998, is one of the most heavily used branches in CML’s 23-location system. When the new Gahanna Branch opens in 2022, the collection will return to its normal size. The collection size will be reduced with a focus on high-interest titles. The library system had reduced hours at its 23 branches due to the pandemic, with most closing at 7 p.m. Sunday hours at all locations also were eliminated beginning in mid-November 2021 until recently due to staffing issues, though two branches are still closed on Sundays. Starting Monday, most Columbus Metropolitan Library branches will return to normal, pre-COVID hours of operation. ![]()
